Forever 21's Chloe-esque heels

forever 21 chloe heels.jpg
I first spotted these shoes thanks to Thrift Eye, they're very similar to a pair of Chloe heels from this season.
The combo of pink heel and white patent is a great alternative if you're getting gladiator fatigue and fancy something a little more polished and a little less boho. They'll set you back $27.80 plus shipping to the UK, which is still a damn sight cheaper than Chloe!

Prada-esque platform shoes from Topshop

topshop-does-prada.jpg

Although it certainly had its moments, I really wasn't keen on much of Prada's S/S '08 shoe collection, so this is one case where I think the high street has actually managed to do a better job than the designer. Topshop's 'Rainbow Swirl' platforms seem to draw inspiration from Prada's swirls and two-tone colourways, but the end result is much more wearable. I particularly like the black and gold version, although the coral, of course, is very 'summer '08', if that matters to you. These are £65 and available in the three colours shown above.

Parentesi bow detail ankle strap shoes

red bow shoes2.jpgI admit that it was mainly the little bow on the toes of these cute, cut-out courts by Parentesi that grabbed my attention, but I also like the way that the white piping around the edges of the shoes gives them an edge, and the contrast lends a light-hearted touch.

They've got a lot more going for them than mere embellishments though; not least the fact that they've been reduced to just £29 (from £58) at Yoox; a great price for a pair of fun shoes you won't want to wear every day.

Giambattista Valli snakeskin heel slingbacks

giambattistavalli_slingbacks.jpg

I may not be able to pronounce the name, but I definitely know a good shoe when I see one! These slingbacks from Giambattista Valli (seriously - am I the only one who can't get my tongue around that?) are one of those purchases you will make and be thankful for every time you slip your toes into them.

Silk and leather offset the fabulous snakeskin-covered heel and, along with the delicate bow featured just above the peep toe, ensures these heels are a total wardrobe classic. Classics don't often come cheap either, so it's with absolute glee I see they have been reduced to just £165 (from £405) at Browns.

Why not add springs to United Nude Eamz shoes for bouncy steps?

springshoes1.jpgEmily Tan writes:
If you're a "yay" on the United Nude Eamz shoe, and want to wear them everywhere, perhaps this whacky Instructable will appeal to you. This tutorial gives you full instructions on modifying the shoe (or sandal, or boot) by adding a spring to the heel, presumably allowing you to leap down Oxford Street in a single bound! Ok., maybe not quite, but you get the idea. This could either be a really good energy saving idea, or it could be a sprained ankle waiting to happen. You decide.

My-Wardrobe summer sale sandal picks

my-wardrobe sale shoe heels.jpg
My-Wardrobe's sale is still going with items reduced by up to 80%, and there are some real bargains to be had. I've picked my three favourite shoes from the sale, and they're all great chunky summer sandals. Team the middle pair with a maxidress to give it a bit of chic, while the other two would look great with some mannish trousers or some cutoff jeans. See after the jump for product links.

Anne Klein New York leather d'Orsay pumps

anneklein_turquoisedorsay.jpg

The invites to garden parties, barbeques and other summery soirées are starting to pile up (you are just Miss Popular aren't you?) So you really should be getting that summer wardrobe at the ready just in case the sun does decide to stay and play.

The perfect addition to this wardrobe I speak of, would be these Anne Klein d'Orsay pumps in a very seasonally-appropriate white and with a gorgeous turquoise stone brooch clipped on to the front. They're reduced right now at Saks, and are now selling for $137.34.
