If someone asked me where these shoes might be from, River Island wouldn't be on the top of my list. Nevertheless that is where they are from.
My favourite part of these brown block heel court shoes are the thick middle strap that lies diagonally across the shoe. It adds a little more interest than your standard strap. At £49.99 they are probably not your cheapest option, but they will likely last you longest.

Now, I'm not sure about these. One ankle strap I can just about live with, but two I'm not convinced by, and to be completely honest, I think I'd have liked these shoes a whole lot more with neither. That said, I do like the mix of turquoise and black on the uppers, and while the red and orange versions are a little alarming, the more toned-down black, brown and purple suede are also very nice. Which just leaves us with that ankle strap.
For myself, I'm still not sure about it, but if it's a look you like, you'll be pleased to know that these aren't expensive - they've just been reduced to $62.97 - get them while you still can!

I'm absolutely loving Topshop's work on the shoe front at the moment. Every morning there's another influx of new and wonderful shoes onto the website, and while there have been a couple of mis-steps along the way, for the most part they've been making very attention-grabbing designs, like these 'Rise' t-bars.
These are £60 and I think the mix of black and purple makes them very appropriate for this time of year, while the metallic heels add a touch of glamour. The caged t-bar design, meanwhile, is always a classic so although these stand out from many other designs around right now, they should still see you through a few seasons.

OK, they're not exactly the same (and not even close enough to be called "similar", really), but for some reason the style of this shoe by Boutique 9 reminds me of those fabulous Versace peep toes I coveted for most of the early part of this year. I think it's the way the ankle strap threads through the "t" bar, plus the metallic leather - again, not exactly the same but perhaps close enough for those who love the style to find them a nice alternative at $139.
The shoe is also available in black, purple or grey parent, but I think the gold uppers are the nicest, and would make a nice, slightly unusual style for evening wear. Get them at Endless.com.

If you're wondering what makes these t-bar party shoes by Office special, you'll find the clue is in the name: shiny, patent straps sit on top of smooth satin, making a lovely contrast that looks far more striking seen 'irl'. They're also available in a deep shade of red that would be ideal for parties, but I quite like the black, which I can imagine working equally well for daywear. Get these for £65 at Office

For some reason I am all about the multi-coloured heels right now. Perhaps it is a case of seeing so many adventurous designs during fashion week, that I am becoming much braver with my choices.
Regardless, take a minute to check out these multi-coloured suede 'Lesun' sandals at Faith. Available in two variations, my pick are these red, blue and grey shoes, featuring a sling back and dolly bar strap. They are £55 and are new to the retailer.

Shoes in this particular shade of green are hard to come by, which is why every time I find a pair, I feel moved to tell you all about them. These ones are by Guess, and if green isn't your thing (and I suspect it won't be for a lot of you), don't worry, they're also available in a lovely blue patent, plus tan and black leather. The horse bit detail on the front gives them an expensive feel (shades of Gucci, perhaps?), while the high heels add elegance to the style.
Now that I look again, I actually think the tan is my favourite, but the green and blue are certainly eye-catching, if that's what you're after! They're $109.95.
