With that tiny bit of sunshine that we received the other day (yes, I said tiny) my wilful mind refuses to give into the dark gloomy colours of winter... just yet. That said, I happily stumbled across these peachy orange coloured bow T-bars by Carvela.
The "Harriet" shoe is available in such a delectable colour, I can't help but predict warm sunny picnics, even if I'll be waiting an unforgivable time before those come around again. Order them today from Littlewoods for £85 (they're also available in pink).

You gave an 80% 'Nay' to last week's pair of "sock boots", and I have to say, I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one who has no love at all for this particular style!
We have another boot for you to cast judgement on this week. These suede peep-toe lattice boots are $125 from Urban Outfitters, who say "There is a lot going on with these soft suede boots and all of it is awesome." The 80s get brought up to date with these taupe coloured court shoes from Topshop, which add a wide, elastic strap and winged sides to the classic stiletto court shoe shape. These are instantly eye-catching, whether you buy them in the taupe colour pictured, or in the black colour they're also available in. The stylised sides of these make them much more interesting than regular old court shoes, which is presumably what justifies the £85 price tag. Get them at Topshop.com.

Satin pumps with a rose embellishment of some kind are always a safe bet for eveningwear, so these Colin Stuart shoes score points right away. The positioning of the rose, though, I'm not so sure about. Sure, they get more points for being a little inventive, and putting it somewhere other than on the toe, but it does look a little bit tacked-on in this picture and I can't help but picture it bobbing around strangely with each step. Of course, I haven't actually seen these on, so I'll have to reserve my final judgement for when I do. In the meantime, you can pick these up for $78 at Victoria's Secret.
So I'm guessing as loyal and avid reader of Shoewawa you've been tempted by our fabulous team of writers into splurging on a pair of black ankle or calf-length boots by now. That's great, that's one to tick off the list. But do you own a pair of pink ones? Didn't think so...
These ankle booties with ruched sides are bound to liven up even your most dull, grey winter outfits with a pop of pinkness and will look great with your light blue/stonewash/dark denim skinnies tucked in. Well, looks like Matalan have done it again, creating a shoe that's... wait for it ... only £14, but looks like it could well have cost more. This red platform Mary Jane is also available in black, and will be the perfect accessory to a pencil skirt or tea dress, adding height and a pop of colour to even the most basic of outfits. Sadly, Matalan have yet to see the light and offer online shopping via their website, so if you like the look of these you'll have to look for them in your nearest store.

Lately I've been starting to suspect that shoe designers are all engaged in a "who can add the biggest flower or bow onto a shoe" contest. Seriously, embellishments have been getting big recently, and I think Guess by Marciano could well be in line to win the prize with these 'Nisadora' slingbacks. These come in purple or black, and there is actually a peep toe there too, although you may have trouble finding it underneath that massive flower!
