Mary Jane Monday: Minna Parikka patents

minna-parikka.jpgWho could possibly resist these ravishing red patent shoes with a heart (we always love a heart) by Minna Parikka? The perfectly beautiful stilettos are available at Tatty Devine boutique, where they cost an ouchy (but worth it) £210, and will make you feel every bit a starlet. I can imagine wearing these with reds, whites and ginham blues in summer or a little black dress in winter. A wonderful twist on the classic high heel. [Via Domestic Sluttery]

Casual Friday: spearmint green Mary Janes

asos-flat-mj.jpgThese flat Mary Janes from ASOS are in a great colour for this summer's trends and look like they'd see you through the season in comfort and style - even if the little strap does remind me a bit of the shoes I used to get bought for me from Mothercare when I was a wee tot.

Lightweight and practical, they're such a great price that if you're the sort of person who lives in flatties, you might even want to think about getting the set (they come in red and navy too) to alternate with your wardrobe. £20 at ASOS

Carrie Bradshaw's Manolo Blahnik "Campari" Mary Janes to hit London - again!

manoloblahnik_campari_maryjanes_carriebradshaw.jpgSex and the City fans will no doubt remember the episode in season four when Carrie went rummaging in Vogue's fashion cupboard and discovered what she called an "urban shoe myth."

That myth was Manolo Blahnik's "Campari" black patent Mary Janes, and they're about to hit London again, according to the designer. "It started off with the idea of a children's Mary Jane, but then I made it sexy; pointed toe, high heel - and in black patent with grosgrain trim!" he said of the shoe. They're available from the Manolo Blahnik's London flagship store for £400. Visit www.manoloblahnik.com [Source]

Sale Watch: Dorothy Perkins' £7 jade toe-cap Mary-Jane pumps

dottyp_jadetoecapmaryjanepumps.jpgI realise that it is neither Mary Jane Monday or Bargain Tuesday, but I couldn't very well let Friday pass without mentioning these super-cheap pumps from Dorothy Perkins.

They are a lovely mix of jade green and black and a real bargain, of course. The black cap toe also adds a bit of interest, as does the Mary Jane strap. They were £20 and are now just £7 - get onto them!

Ooh, how very "Chanel"! These toe-cap Mary Janes from Dorothy Perkins would be perfect for a pretty/classic kind of look - and will make a nice change from all those gladiator sandals and platforms, too! They're only £20, have a pretty, blush coloured upper, and will instantly smarten up anything you wear them with. Go "Blair Waldorf" with white tights, pearls and a headband, or dress them down with jeans - up to you!

United Nude Mono Jane wedge shoes

united-nude-eva.jpgThese 'Mono Jane' wedges are classic Mary-Janes at heart, but they're not MJs as you've ever seen them before: they've been given the United Nude treatment - which means they come in wild colours, are sculpted from a single piece of lightweight plastic and have a futuristic, almost edible look and a bounce that will put a spring in your step even on wet winter mornings! The functional/girly style has just landed at ASOS, where you'll find it in four eye-popping colours, each at £74.
