Cream double strap Mary Janes by Belle & Mimi

70_271_0289_01.jpgIt may not be the most practical of colours at this time of year, but cream goes with everything and can look very classy, especially when trimmed with black, as on these Belle & Mimi Mary Janes.

The double strap is a look that's been around for a while, but I really like the little buttons on these ones, while the brogue-style detailing around the edges also helps these stand out. I love the cream versions, but they're also available in black with a white trim, and are £60 at Barratts.

Shelly's Mary Jane court shoes at Barratts

shellys_court.jpgI'm quite keen on Shellys' take on the multistrap Mary Janes, which despite being someone who lives in MJs, I've got to admit to being a bit tired of now. Was one strap not enough?

Shelly's buckle-strap courts take elements from both the strappy style and the currently-trendy mega straps and combines the two looks in a way that is both functional and stylish. Now Shelly's no longer has standalone stores, you can find these at Barratts for £55

Mary Jane Monday: Topshop's 'Sugar' glitter Mary Janes

toshop-sugar-mary-janes.jpg

Our second Topshop selection of the day, but really, there was no way we couldn't feature these 'Sugar' Mary Janes as our Mary Jane Monday selection, was there? Camper than Christmas, these come in black, red or multicoloured glitter, cost £60, and I don't know about you, but I can't stop looking at them, even although I'd probably never wear them. And if I did wear them, I just know I'd spend the evening clicking my heels together and hoping they'd take me to Oz...

Gucci monogram bow trimmed baby shoe

NMZ01VL_mn.jpg If I had a daughter that was as cute as a button, like Suri Cruise, I'd dress her up like a doll too. Complete with designer children's shoes, clothes and accessories, like these utterly adorable Gucci monogram baby shoes with their patent leather bow and little ankle strap. Sure, these shoes will set some yummy mummy back $245 but they would be perfect for a little girl who's eaten out of a silver spoon for as long as she could remember. You could always justify it by the fact that you would get a free tote bag with any kids' purchases over $175 at NeimanMarcus.com at the moment.

Mary Jane Monday: Bertie's black patent 'Astonish' Mary Janes

bertie-astonish.jpgShoe Studio Group, the company behind Bertie, Nine West, Pied a Terre, etc, have just revamped their website, adding more brands and making it even more of a shoe-lover's dream than it was to start with. One of the first pairs of shoes to leap out at me when I looked at the new site this morning was these 'Astonish' Mary Janes by Bertie, which were just perfect for our Mary Jane Monday slot, so here they are!

These retain the classic shape of the high heeled Mary Jane, but replace the usual narrow strap with a wide, patent one. It's a nice twist on the style, with the covered buttons giving the shoes a bit of a vintage look which I like. These are £70.

SECCO 'Art Decco' Mary Janes from Topshop

topshop_artdeccomaryjanessecco.jpgHow spesh are these? There are so many elements of this shoe that I like, but it is the colour scheme that really interests me.

A clever mix of black, silver, white and peach have been panelled into these SECCO 'Art Decco' Mary Janes, giving them a futuristic feel. It's a new idea wrapped in an old style shoe - just brilliant! Available for £65 from Topshop, they will definitely lift an outfit to new heights. Give them a whirl.

Oasis red 'Nora' T-bar Mary Janes on sale

oasis_noratbarmaryjanessale.jpgOasis is having a mid-season sale, in other words - get your gorgeous butt down to your nearest outlet asap!

Among the bargains (hey, it is Bargain Tuesday after all) I managed to find these cute red 'Nora' T-bar Mary Janes. While there isn't anything particularly striking about this shoe, they would easily fall under the 'old reliable' section of your wardrobe. Plus, a little flash of red never did harm an outfit. The best bit is that they have been slashed in price from £60 down to a very reasonable £30. Check out the other items on sale now, before stocks run out.
