My Favourite Shoes: Daphne's Hale Bob glitter pumps

Imagen008-1.jpg"Wow," is about the only word I can come up with to describe these glittery Hale Bob pumps, sent in by Shoewawa reader, Daphne. It's not hard to see why they're her favourites. Over to Daphne, who says, "I know they're attention grabbers so I'll keep them for a special occasion, I love to just look at them in admiration. The glitter is beautiful and the buckle with the red details makes them look kinda vintage I think - or at least they tried to make them look that way."

The shoes were an eBay bargain, picked up for just $27, which just goes to show, it's always worth keeping an eye on eBay's shoe section...

My Favourite Shoes: Emi's perspex anemone wedges

Anemone-wedges-from-Shinjuk.jpgShoewawa reader Emi comes from Vancouver, but picked up these perspex wedges from the Shinjuku district of Tokyo. She says: "I love them because they are so out there! On the one hand these wedges, with their 4in plastic heels and crazy colors, are probably the sort of shoes that--to quote my mother, 'one should not wear while wandering alone at night', but I don't care.

"I think every girl needs a pair of shoes in her wardrobe that can, every once in a while, tempt her to forgo the plain old pumps or sneakers and try something a little more wild!" I think I would have to agree, Emi!

Nicholas Kirkwood Suede Booties at Browns

bootie.jpg
When I first began writing for Shoewawa I came across designer Nicholas Kirkwood whose edgy futuristic designs I instantly fell in love with. Ever since then I've been keeping my eyes peeled for more of his daring designs and finally these have cropped up at Browns; Kirkwood Suede Booties.

Just like his past heels, these ankle boots have the same modernist architectural style that will add a whole new dimension to any outfit you wear. I L.O.V.E. them from the Velcro patent straps right down to the cut out details on the vamp. Truth be told, Kirkwood could stick a cocktail stick in a lump of cheese and call it a shoe and I would still love it, that's how talented he is. I can even handle the fact that they're £370. After all, what's a few hundred between me and a seriously sexy pair of shoes?

My Favourite Shoes: Jules' gold peep toes from Next

fav-shoes.jpgContinuing our journey through our readers' shoe collections, this week Jules has sent us this picture of her favourite peep toes, which are from Next, via eBay for the bargain price of £12 - dontcha just love it when that happens?

"The dull gold leather seems to go with everything," says Jules, "and although they have a high heel they are really comfy. They were an impulse buy but then those are always the best." Aren't they just?

My Favourite Shoes - Emma's Faith wedges

emma%27s-shoes.jpgThere are few things more fun than looking at other people's shoes, and this week the shoes in question belong to Shiny Fashion Forum aficionado, Emma, who bought these Faith wedges for about £30.

"They weren't insanely expensive," says Emma, "but they are so comfortable, I could just live in them in the summer. They go with everything, and I always get complimented on them. I wore them to get a pedicure once, and when I put them on at the end, the beauty technician had to take a picture of my feet 'cos she said they looked so fantastic in the shoes, then she stuck the pic up on the wall behind her table as an example of her work!"

Wouldn't we all just love to get that kind of reaction to our footwear?

My Favourite Shoes - Amber's leopard print peep toes

amber%27s-shoes.jpg

Yes, our My Favourite Shoes feature is back, and as the new editor of Shoewawa, I thought it was only fair for me to show you my favourite shoes before asking you to show me yours. When you have a shoe collection as big as mine, it's hard to single out one particular favourite: these are my newest shoes, though, so they're currently occupying the top spot. They're actually from Moda in Pelle, although I found mine in TK Maxx, and they're a combination of two things I don't normally wear - suede and animal print. That said, it's always good to try something different, and these do have two of my other favourite features - high heels and a peep toe, and I love wearing them with faded blue jeans They also have a Louboutin-esque red sole, for some reason - one day I will own the real thing!

Christian Louboutin satin peep toe shoe

I wonder if anyone’s ever got divorced because of a pair of shoes, because I am seriously considering it. My husband hasn’t done anything wrong, but if I get divorced then I can re-marry, and if I re-marry I can have a big white wedding and wear this pair of Christian Louboutin satin peep toe shoes, £395, because they are the most beautiful pair of shoes I’ve ever seen. Drastic action, I know, but I’m sure it will be worth it.
