Here's another taster of things to come, this time in the form of this rather rare looking shoe-boot from Proenza Schouler.
It's a spring 2010 style (so you can stop wincing at that open toe), with all the trappings I'm already coming to expect from the season: folksy, baskety references in the plaited zig-zag heel, big, visible weaves, a painful-looking angle and a slightly wonky heel. Fortunately, the mule-style shoes from the same collection look infinitely more wearable...

Have we all got our heads around high-heeled trainers yet? I do hope so, because I've been a bit of a wuss about trying them thus far despite the fact that for me, athletic comfort + height = perfection. I'm still not entirely sold on the look, but these rather futuristic metal effect heeled trainers by DKNY are starting to make me want to stride right out of my footwear comfort zone.
These shoes would add a space age twist to an ordinary jeans or casual outfit, instandly adding interest and inches. With their heavily padded edging and ribbed toe caps, I bet they'd be great in snowy or wet weather too, keeping your feet toasty and elevated!

Last night, Ms Shoewawa got a sneaky peek at the new H! collection from Henry Holland. Launching at Debenhams in February 2010, the range will feature everything the fashion-savvy budget fashionista needs in her wardrobe; from bikinis and jackets to shoes and accessories.
'Budget' really is the watchword here, as nothing in the range will exceed £50, in stark contrast to Matthew Williamson's 'Butterfly' range, whose items often fetch three figures. As you'd expect, there's a bit of an 80s tinge to everything, with neons and bold styling used throughout the range. The tall shoes will make dazzling partywear for fans of the Henry Holland look, while floral and candy-coloured pumps step in for more relaxed days.
We look forward to seeing the collection out on the street in February!

Heads up Rupert Sanderson fans! We've got a sneak peek at the designer's spring/summer 2010 collection for you right behind this link and I strongly suggest you check it out to get an idea of the sensational styles we can expect come spring.
They include 'Defender' in black and gold, pictured right, a style that will positively sizzle in bright sunshine. There are more traditional springlike colours to be lusted over here too though, including coral, amber leopard and aqua. Hot to trot!

Good news for fans of affordable designer gear: Giles Deacon has been such a big hit at New Look that he's back with a 9th shoe collection for the chain, which will hit stores on Monday 9th November. The latest in the designer's 'Gold' series is inspired by the 'louche' London vibe that is around at the moment - modern British glamour at its finest.
This 'red carpet' worthy look is made evident in an explosion of sequins and contrasting shades, perfect for winter party wear. Fans of Deacon's high street styles will be pleased to note that this range is bigger than previous collections, comprising seven styles.
These sequin-covered booties with their gentle, fully-covered suede platforms are my favourite style from the range, which also includes pewter strappy heels with jewelled fronts, peep toes in lilac sequin and faux snakeskin gladiator cage heels. I can't wait to get into my local New Look and give my feet a glamorous treat!

Celebrity-designed products are always a hit and miss affair, but it's fair to say that Nicole Richie's House of Harlow 1960 has been a resounding style success. Bold, simple and not remotely bling, it oozes quality without any of the trashiness we tend to associate with 'sleb fashion.
So it's good to see that Richie is branching out, with a brand new clothes and footwear collection called Winter Kate. The range, which will include the shoes pictured here, is launching in the UK in January, when it will be available to buy from My-Wardrobe.com
Featuring an eclectic mix of heels, moccasin boots, wedges and flat sandals, it's easy to see the progression from the geometric jewellery in House of Harlow to the clean cut styles of Winter Kate's footwear collection. Richie said of her nascent range: "Fashion should be accessible. That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate. I started working on this collection in early 2009, the pieces can be dressed up, made casual but most importantly, they provide the wearer a means of self-expression and fun."

Schuh have some really colourful and fashion forward styles out at the moment - many of which are practical and comfortable but could still make ideal party wear - a quality that's much sought after in shoes while we're all a bit strapped for cash.
I particularly like this court shoe, which has a pleasingly rounded heel, two-tone colour scheme and smart bow, completed by practical and chic fabric piping. These would jazz up a plainer outfit beautifully, or look fab with an all black and red ensemble. £59.99 at Schuh.
