London Fashion Week may have been showcasing a lot of super-high heels (and some seriously bizarre ones) but we're also seeing flats peep through as a viable fashion option.
Redfoot Revolution offers a range of flat shoes that you can fold up and pop in your handbag for easy commuting or after a hard night on the tiles. I've talked about their
Sex and the City range recently, and now they've taken inspiration from a UK fashion queen for their latest flats.

Yup, the spelling error is intentional, but since when did shoes have to justify their unusual monickers? The daring nature of this design would suggest an affiliation with burlesque star Immodesty Blaize, as just like the performer it's a little bit risque and generously proportioned - particularly on those killer heels.
Clementine are a brand that have just come into Ms. Shoewawa's radar, and so far this looks like a very promising collection of artisan-made shoes, each inspired by the art world. We look forward to seeing more from this exciting designer soon, whose S/S 10 collection is online to view now.

I spotted these Office Betsy Bow Heels over on Shoeperwoman this week and placed them right at the top of my 'must have' list.
The polka-dot pattern, lace detail inside high heels and bow detail all add up to a terribly cute shoe with serious strutting power.
This pretty footpiece also comes in a red rose design, and both designs are £60.
So, what do you think of them? Too cutesy or tongue-in-cheek fun?
The great Emma Cook has excelled herself once again with a brand new collection for Topshop, due to hit the shelves this coming Monday 15th Feb. The range will be accompanied by the hotly-anticipated new collection by Louise Goldin, whose fiercely spiked shoes also caused a sensation in the store last season.
Emma's two previous collections for Topshop quickly developed a cult following, and have been hugely popular with shoppers who like to find a little luxury on the high street. All the styles have the hallmarks of true designer chic, and are guaranteed to turn heads. We love the reconstructed rodeo boots with its beautifully stylised bow and tan shades.
Available at Topshop from Monday: slingback £160, sandal £150
We're starting to really approve of the new direction being taken by Louis Vuitton. These new look items make a welcome change from the familiar and some would say 'tired' brown and, um, brown designs we've come to expect from the luxury luggage label that's been copied a zillion times. These new styles, though colourful and oddly-shaped, retain the original brand style of LV, but a fun contemporary twist.
Like most designers this season, LV have gone for a clog-style shoe in their spring/summer '10 collection with studs, tassels and plenty of contrast. But they've shaken things up even further with the addition of futuristic, metallic heels. It shouldn't work, but we certainly think it does...do you think these shoes could survive outside the catwalk?

See these wooden contraptions on the left? It's not, as I initially assumed, an unusual magazine rack or door stop.
It's an architectural (and rather uncomfortable looking) shoe from the designer Chau Har Lee.
The wooden shoe is part of a range of architectural heels from the 'pre-collection'. The loop at the back is designed to support your heel, whilst the fan-like loops across the centre are created to support the arch of your foot.
Think this is a little 'out there'? Check out the

I've managed to go for - oh - nearly a week before waxing lyrical about Bionda Castana's fabulous Italian-made shoes, but I really couldn't hold in my love for these zip-up shoe boots much longer. What is there possibly not to love about these shoes? They're a beautiful shape, clearly soft and comfortable and a lovely, warm shade of beige that epitomises our new-found love of the colour this spring.
If I had the chance to really splash out on a pair of designer shoes for the warmer part of the year, my money would definitely be on this style. The pyramid motif, a style point that's been creeping in to all areas of fashion recently, is subtly embedded and the studs are just enough to give it a bit of a 2010 edge.
