I'm in a bit of a sick haze today, and the medicine I've taken is making me a bit spacey. As I dragged my eyes across websites trying to find something post-worthy, these hefty shoes caught my attention and launched me into a fantasy of using them to toughen up a floaty summer dress, and strutting down a sunshine filled street.
If only drug-induced dreams weren't the only place to get some sun. Leather with a snakeskin print and cross over straps, the Zigi Platform Peep Toe heels by London Rebel are available from Urban Outfitters for £85.

Look at these monsters would you?! Alejandro Ingelmo has jumped on that chunky shoe trend and run with it in a very *ahem* big way, with these woven metal statement slingbacks and their enooooormous platform.
How you'd muster up the strength to lift your feet off the ground is one question that popped into my head. Another one was: What on earth would I wear these with?? (Funnily enough, when it comes to designer shoes, I somehow managed to answer that question fairly easily. And that is, a pair of Black Rats leggings and a loose white racerback vest). They're £465 from Browns.

Steph Powell writes...
I've always thought Winona Ryder was a questionable actress and these Winona shoes are questionable enough for me to suspect that they've been named after her. Yes, they are peep toe, backless, rope wedge espadrilles. With an elasticated back. In baby pink.
Sometimes I think designers are just having a laugh, to see if anyone actually goes out and wears the strange things they make. If you disagree with me and think these... boots(?!) are actually a model of style and beauty, then buy them from Topshop for £55. They're also available in tan, if that helps.

I always think that Cacharel are particularly good at classics with a twist, and these elegant peep-toe court shoes are a great example of what they do best. These courts are lovely and shapely, but it's the patent bow at the vamp that makes them really desirable.
This 'moulded' style decoration, with its almost plasticky quality, is a look that's coming through quite strongly at the moment, and will feature heavily in the forthcoming Autumn/winter styles.

While perusing the net, as I do each day, I came across these very unusual tan cut out boots from Oasis.
Created using a laser cut technique, they are quite eye-catching and better yet - they're on sale! Known as the tan 'Alisha' boot, they also fasten by zip in the back and feature a peep-toe. On sale from £65 to £40, they won't last long.

These babies were featured in In Style's top picks and I am also picking them for one of my favourites today.
Moda In Pelle's purple 'Lush' punch-out lace-up heels are both sporty and classy. They would look fantastic with a loose jumpsuit, another seasonal trend. If purple isn't your thing, then they are also available in cream. They retail for £90.

Unless you have been reading our sister fashion blog, Catwalk Queen, you might have missed the memo that Stella McCartney's capsule range for Net-a-porter launched this week.
Included are seven pieces that feature a limited-edition cloud motif, including a cute pair of wedges, by pop artist Peter Blake. Another pair of shoes to catch my attention are these adorable nautical platform sandals. It's no secret that I'm partial to just about anything nautical-themed, but these platforms are right up there. I love the use of contrasting straps and tiny peep-toe. They're available for £348.94.
