The name of this shoe is 'What's Going Down?' and I'm happy to report that the one thing I can see going down here is the price!
It'll set you back a mere tenner, which I certainly thing is a bargain when I consider their likeness to the brand's 'Wafa' sandal; a shoe that saw me happily through two summers and I'd have happily replaced had they not withdrawn it this year! These too are meant for summer but will look great with thick tights in the autumn.

They only closed down their stores a couple of years ago, but I'm already starting to feel a little nostalgic about Ravel. They were always the artier, more daring cousin of high street staples like Barratts and Clarks and I remember them being my first port of call for May Balls, weddings and parties.
Let's not forget then that Ravel lives on, with ranges in various online and department stores. They still go in for the more out-there styles, and right now you can get most of their summer styles at great prices. This super tall 'Bhodan' style, for example is half price at £40 from Shoes.co.uk

Heads-up "investment shoppers": there's a major Christian Louboutin shoe sale going on over at The Outnet from today, with the sort of prices that would make you start hunting for tell-tale spelling mistakes and dodgy shipping policies if they appeared on a less reputable site.
These ultra-hot 'Mad Mary' studded MJs are down to £212 from £530, while his fluoro orange Lola Pumps are down to just £190. But don't hang around - they're selling fast.
As the proud owner of a pair of Beyond Skin shoes and a big fan of innovative, ethical footwear, I was pleased to see that some of the label's hottest styles are available with great discounts at the moment.
Beyond Skin's Amelia, shown here, has been knocking around for a while now, but I think the designers were ahead of their time. The style is very current, and really chimes with the decorative 'boyfriend shoe' look. Pick up a pair half price at Koodos, where they're £125

If you've had any thoughts of hiding away (or at least hiding your credit cards away) throughout the sale period to avoid spending your moolah, you might as well just give in as soon as you've read the title of this post. Yes, the Net-a-Porter sale has begun and if you love shoes as much as we do here at Shoewawa (heck, you're visiting this site, so there's a high chance you do!) then you'll know this is one of the best chances you'll have of nabbing yourself some seriously hot shoes at seriously hot prices.
Some of the heels I've already been sorely tempted by are pictured above... they are (from left to right): Halston Clou boots - were £995, now £497.50; Christian Louboutin Paquita 120 satin gladiator sandals - were £509, now £305.40; Marc by Marc Jacobs Martini heel sandals - were £284, now £170.40.

If you love Rupert Sanderson's shoes as much as some people I know, then you will be about to whoop for joy when I tell you there is a good selection from the famed UK shoe designer now on sale.
Whether you want something kooky and slightly outlandish (check out those blue suede and ponyskin Jupiter heels - were £595, now £416); fresh and fun (fuchsia patent Bounty heels - were £350, now £245); or something cool and classic (black patent Decor bow heels - were £520, now £364) - Rupert is definitely your man. Check out the entire sale selection here.

So it's got to be that time of year again, when I look in my shoe closet on a brilliant sunny day like the one today, and discover I have nothing appropriate (why oh why did I go so boot crazy last season!?)
I guess it just means I'm going to have to even things up in the summer shoe department, and first to go on the list of must-buys is a pair of flat sandals. These 'Kurt' ones by Carvela caught my eye because not only are they colourful and on-trend, they're also on sale right now too, for £35 at Kurt Geiger. Now to find my next pair... thinking some wedges perhaps?
