Okay okay, so it's not like you're going to be wearing these sandals any time in the immediate future - we're still in the depths of winter after all. However, you could say I'm somewhat a believer in "working a season ahead"... well, I would be doing that if my credit card wasn't so unhappy!
I wonder if buying sale items would placate it? If so, these Chloé patent wide ankle strap flat sandals would find their way onto my list. They're the right combination of bold colour and easy simplicity and I am just dreaming of pairing them with denim cutoffs, a cutesy candy stripe blouse and some red nails and basking in the sunshine. Soon enough, soon enough... They're on sale for £118.80 (down from £297) at Net-a-Porter.

If you spend all year gazing at these very pages, wistfully dreaming of one day owning a pair of your very own Jimmy Choos, then this is definitely the time of the year to make that dream come true. With their sale on right now, don't miss your big chance to add a pair of these gorgeous heels to your wardrobe.
The pairs I've selected above have been reduced quite significantly and thus, are calling my name rather insistently... The glam metallic sandals were £583.00, now £291.50, the black suede pump with gold heel was £485.00 and is now £242.50, and the blue suede booties (ah! love!) were £539.00 and are now £269.50.

If you're a size 35 or 36 and as much of a Nicholas Kirkwood fan as I am, then you're in luck lovelies. Right now, Browns have three pairs of beautiful shoes from the much-coveted Autumn/Winter 08 collection in those sizes. AND significantly marked down!
I have to admit to falling smack bang in the middle of those above sizes so this is particularly exciting news for me. Now the toughest part is deciding between the lush yet practical black ankle boots (reduced to £355), eye-catching lizard heels (down to £335) or the totally show-stopping purple peep-toes (now £280). Hmmm...

I'm a little disappointed in Steve Madden's post Christmas sale markdowns with many shoes only $10 - $20 cheaper than their recommended retail price but there are a few gems in the lot for all tastes. The Bodie platform sandal (above left) is a sleek and stylish heel with its black patent leather trim and scalloped edges. The whole look is a little Prada fall 2007/08 but you can get this understated version for $119.99, down from $199.95. Look no further than the Bijoux sandal (above middle) if you're looking to shimmy and shake it on a night out, the fringe detail adds a bit of fun and movement to these strappy silver sandals that will set you back $89.99, down from $129.95. Finally, for what Steve Madden call a "shootie" (as in shoe bootie) there are these Dionnne heels (above right). With its wide straps and versatile colour, these would look fantastic with jeans, dresses or a pantsuit if you're feeling a little adventurous. The Dionnne will set you back just $89.99, down from $129.95.

There are more sparkly party shoes on sale at Coast thanks to post Christmas sales. They don't have the largest range of shoes on sale, but for evening shoes there are three that have been marked down by at least 50%. For a dainty shoe, there is the Janina slingback sandal (above left) with a row of crystal flowers decorating the outside, originally priced at £85, they're now only £35. For something that you could wear partying or to a more formal occasion, I am partial to the Astrid pump (above middle) with studded diamante detail scattered evenly over the shoe. Marked down to £49 from £110, that's 60% off the retail price. For something with a low heel but still with girlie detail, the Evie sling back features a diamante covered bow perched across the vamp of the pointy toe heel. These are also £49, down from £99.

Get a bit of Givenchy-like lace in your life with these pretty ankle boots from Topshop. The gothic lace style will go perfectly with your PVC leggings or body con dresses this season or grunge them up even further with some ripped and/or bleached skinny jeans and some Ray-Ban Clubmasters.
These lovelies are currently part of the big Topshop sale, so choose which pair you like more (black or nude) and snap them up now for £35 (down from £70).

Net-A-Porter has long established themselves as one of the places to go for designer brands, which makes their sales a must visit stop in your online shopping rampage. Check out their collection of statement making heels on sale, from sophisticated party shoes, to something that is fun or edgey. For a pair of shoes that combine beautiful detailing and a stand out sole, try these Christian Louboutin Peplum T-bar sandals (above left) with gold winged detail across the vamp. Originally priced at £450, these now retail for £315. For a sparkley pair of party shoes, then you really have to choose these Marc by Marc Jacobs paillette embellished pumps (above middle) - a pair of Marc Jacobs heels covered from heel to toe with sequins, what more could you want? They've also been marked down from £298.51 to a not-too-expensive £179.10. Lastly for something a little 1980s but also a little edgy, try these Chloe leaf platform heels (above right) with their jagged edges and contrasting suede and patent leather detail.
