They were some of the most talked about shoes of the season and in my opinion Miu's Miu's brogues have still got it. Brogues are some of my favourite types of shoes and even though these ones have got a fancy ruffle they're pretty classic and what's more they're not boring. Start are stocking them at the sale price of £125 which is pretty darn good for a piece o' Prada.

Miss L Fire are a name that are consistently catching my eye, their gathered moccasin at Office has been an object of lust for some time and now these coral shoes are becoming the object of my affections. Amber featured the equally gorgeous grey ones a while back and I agree that the heel is slightly matronly but I love the rumpled bow at the toe, it's very antiquey and flouncy. They're now reduced to an affordable £30, I'm almost tempted to buy both!

Metallic platforms for £8? I really thought I must be seeing things when I read the price on these over at the Additions Direct website, but no, they really have been reduced to just £8. Don't you just love the January sales? Needless to say, not all sizes are still available in all four colours, but there's still a good selection left, and these are the kind of shoes you'll be able to wear over and over again, with all sorts of outfits. Now, which colour to choose?

French Connection's elfie boots look like the kind of boots you could wear forever, sturdy dependable and tough. You can leave those winsome kitten-heeled delicate painful creations at the back of the cupboard because this style feels much more modern and teamed with a mini or slim jeans and a blouse will look just as good. They're reduced to £93 which is a lot but treat them as a timeless investment.

For those of you who love these shoes but aren't a UK size 8, my apologies for taunting you with them. If it's any consolation, I'm not a size 8 either, and my heart almost skipped a beat when I discovered them reduced to £50 in the Debenhams sale. Oh, cruel world that never seems to have my size left in stock when there are bargains to be had!
Gil Carvalho's collection for Faith Solo gave us some of the stand out shoes of last year - some more wearable than others. These ones won't be to everyone's taste, but I'm loving that huge platform, silver leather and the way they just seem to be crying out "Buy me!" And if they had them in my size, I totally would.
