When I spotted this picture on another forum of a member showing off the spoils of her latest retail therapy session, I was surprised to learn that the sandals were from Dorothy Perkins. The daring shade of purple combined with that funky, twisted styling looked like it would have cost a lot more than the £15 quoted by their chuffed new owner.
The shoes, which are also available in black and white, are these slingback platforms, currently in the DP sale. A great value sandal for what looks set to be a long second half of summer!

The tie and and ruching add to the softer effect and provide a great contrast with the wooden chunky heel. They will look great with cropped carrot-leg trousers while the heel will balance even the most feminine of summer dresses.

I'm desperately in need of some bright colours to cheer me up during this dismal summer we've been having. Do I need bright colours enough to want to buy these pink 'Olivia' slingbacks from Bakers? If it wasn't for the shiny heel, which I think cheapens the shoe, the answer might have been yes. I love the high, curved platform, and the pink is certainly bright enough, although I think the purple version is actually nicer.
