"I love accessories," she revealed after working on a project with shoe guru, Jonathan Kelsey. "And I'd love to have my own line."
The pair recently collaborated on the Belvie bag in conjunction with Belvedere Vodka. It features a secret pocket to hold a vodka bottle. Just what every girl needs!
If you're in the London area and like the sounds of (a) designer shoe bargains and (b) 'bottomless Pimms', then I suggest you note this upcoming event down in bright red marker pen: Islington boutique Laura J is holding a series of shoe swaps, with the first in the season taking place this Thursday from 6pm at the shop.
For a £1 entry fee (you'll also have to bring along at least two pairs of footwear to take part - probably not your Primark flip-flops!), Laura J will be laying on a spread of vintage style refreshments (as well as the aforementioned Pimms!) in the form of cucumber sandwiches and teacakes. There'll also be a selection of vintage clothing and accessories for sale on the night, provided by French Kiss vintage and Umi & Co. Best of all, there's a guaranteed range of sizes, so it looks to be an evening of bargains for all!
Islington is my stomping ground I plan to be there - it would be great to see some more Shoey readers on the night!
Now, I love my platforms as much as the next shoe addict, but weirdly enough, when I'm about to embark on a schlep around an unfamiliar city, my footwear decisions will be largely influenced by (whisper it!) comfort.
That's clearly not the case for Beyoncé, who stepped out in these six-inch transparent wedges for a day's sightseeing in Paris with sister Solonge (who herself opted for a marginally more practical pair of thigh-length gladiator boots). We salute their courage! And wince... [image: Just Jared]
These crazy basketball-adorned shoes look sure to put a spring in your step!
Spotted on the feet of stylist Ms Fitz at Australian Fashion Week by Alice Euphemia, the sandals look customised to me so if you want to replicate this look I suggest you rock up at your local toy store and equip yourself with a few of these. If you're packing spiky enough heels they should go throuh first time...
The Jimmy Choo spring/summer '09 campaign had lots of people talking, mostly because of the precariously placed stiletto heel in relation to model Angela Lindvall's thigh. Here is a behind-the-scenes video of what it took to create the ads, as narrated by Tamara Mellon. Each look is explained in detail as Angela is whisked around Manhattan to be photographed by Terry Richardson.Click play on video above to watch.
If you couldn't tell from all the commotion yesterday, The Outnet, Net-a-porter's discount sister site, is open for business.
Catwalk Queen got so excited they did a round-up of their picks from the best of the bargains - click here to check it out. Lots of items were snapped up straight away, although some have complained that the prices aren't that much cheaper than sale goods at Net-a-porter.
Nevertheless, there are some real goodies to be found, including this pair of nude Jimmy Choo 'Idol' platforms that have been slashed by 50 per cent. Originally priced at £440, they are now available for £220 - woot!
After just three years, Converse by John Varvatos is shutting down its womenswear line, as of the 24th April.
The decision, however, will not affect its mens line. The brand said in a statement: "We have a strong relationship with John and are planning to continue both the Converse by John Varvatos footwear and men's apparel lines as part of our on-going commitment to the growth of Converse."
