It's not often you come across shoes by French Connection which will get you change from your £20 note, and it's even more rare to to find ones which are actually rather nice. So when I found exactly that today, I absolutely *had* to tell you about it.
These Juana T-bar sandals are trendy and classic at the same time - the T-bar shape and stiletto heel bringing the classic, and the gold studs and patent leather bringing the trendy. They're a steal at just £19 - no, this isn't a joke - at Kurt Geiger.

Okay, question: How long would you stick around reading Shoewawa if I told you these leather thong sandals were on sale at ASOS right now for the paltry sum of £8? Yeah, I figure you've probably departed by now, to snap up a pair for yourself - the sacrifices I make to bring you great shoes, huh? (But I'm also hoping you'll return later, to read about more fab shoes...)
ASOS have taken a simple design and added a few extras on the back of the shoe to make them more interesting than your average flip flop, and as you can see from the picture on the right, they look really lovely on the foot. They're available in four colourways - gold, turquoise, dark pewter and orange - and, as I said before, they're just 8 quid, which is a great price for some good-looking real leather sandals (as you can see, I'm having a hard time believing that part!)

If I were to dream up the perfect summer shoe, I think I would come up with something very much along the lines of this espadrille design by Castañer. They just look so... fresh. And comfortable. And beach-like. Remind me again why I'm sitting in an office sweltering in the heat rather than sitting on a beach somewhere wearing these shoes?!
The colour and material combination of the blue fabric cross-over, brown leather ankle strap and straw wedge heel make these slightly nautical, slightly preppy and very classic. I see myself wearing these for many summers ahead! They have 30% off right now at My-Wardrobe and come in at a pretty reasonable £92.

So Glastonbury has been and gone, but there are still some UK festivals coming up in the near future (Bestival, Reading, Leeds and the V Festivals to name just a few). Which means, even though right now we're in the middle of a heatwave (ooh, I just love saying that), the potential for a festival mud bath is still very real. And when festival mud baths are on the horizon, you will still be needing some good old wellies to get you through.
We showed you personalised wellies and we showed you colourful wellies, and now we've got some more designer boots for you to either lust over and then close the window regretfully, or lust over and then just bite the bullet and purchase them. These Burberry gumboots have a glossy shine finish and are embellished with a gold chain trim for a very "glamorous-down-on-the-farm" look. If that's the look you're after this festival season, you can pick them up from Net-a-Porter for £225.

Wowsers - looking at these shoes, you'd instantly think Choo, Blahnik... or at the very least, Geiger (Kurt), wouldn't you? Then you were probably as taken aback as I was, upon seeing they were in fact from Dorothy Perkins.
High street shoes have definitely been lifting their game for a while now, and these eye-catching ruby caged platforms are a perfect example of why you don't have to fork out the big bucks to get shoes that are striking, on trend and well-made. They're also priced at just £40. Good work Dotty P.

Snakeskin heels are strangely classic, in that they go with most things and they don't really go right out of fashion. They're always lurking in the background, waiting for their time. They can be dressed up, and dressed down, worn to work or to a party. Basically they're adaptable.
These white Dorothy Perkin courts aren't real snakeskin obviously, they're snakeskin printed leather. Because of that lovely fact, they cost a mere £50! Not bad for a fashion investment, right?

While Steph and her feet were dreaming away of those Fendi platform ankle boots on the hottest day of the year so far, me and my own tootsies can't think of anything else but heatwave-busting strappy sandals! And the conclusion we (my feet and I, obvs) have come to is this: The less material, the better.
These Jessica Simpson gold sandals fulfill this wish nicely - there's not much in the way of material or straps which equals happy (and airy) feet. Yay. They are £54 from ASOS.
