Topshop 'Abby' buckle stud peep-toe boots

topshop_studded_peep_boot.jpg

These studded peep-toe boots are really love at first sight, aren't they? Well, they were for me anyway. Taking elements of Gucci's studding and the elegant peep-toe seen in the likes of Louboutin's designs, the 'Abby' would definitely be a chic addition to your boot collection.

While you're probably more likely to be thinking about sandals, flip-flops and wedges at the moment, there's also no harm in sorting out your footwear now for those colder, rainier days up ahead. If you're worried about them being "out of fashion" by that time, then rest assured we'll continue to see the trend for buckles and studding for some time yet. You can purchase these from Topshop for £90.

Moda In Pelle Pascal suede wedge heels

moda_in_pelle_pascal_wedges.jpg

There's nothing quite like the sight of a basic, pretty wedge heel that makes me feel truly summery and in the mood for garden parties, beach going and picnic dates in the park. These Pascal ones by Moda In Pelle are right on the mark in terms of conjuring up all that imagery and I picture myself in the middle of these little daydreams, wearing something pretty and girly and floaty, with, of course, the wedges in question on my feet.

They're available in beige, pink and navy suede for £60 from Moda In Pelle.

Alexander McQueen peep-toe fold-down ankle boots

alexander_mcqueen_zip_front_ankle_boots.jpg

Every girl's got a rock chick side to themselves (even if it's buried way, waaay down deep inside) begging to be unleashed, so why not tap into that from time to time, have a little bit of fun running amuck and causing a little chaos?

And what else would you rather have on your feet while you're doing so, than these zip front boots from Alexander McQueen? They're grungy yet chic with their peep toe, stiletto heel, fold-down panel and skull zipper and are priced at £575 from Net-a-Porter.

Ash shell taupe satin high top heels

ash_shell_taupe_satin_shoes.jpg

Try as I might, I don't think I will ever understand the constant... well, insistence, of shoe designers to bring out heels in the form of trainers (or should that be trainers in the form of heels?) It doesn't matter if they're platforms, wedges or stilettos - they didn't look good on the Spice Girls and I'm pretty certain they will never look good on the rest of us either!

At least these ones are slightly more intriguing than the Spice Girl specialties, thanks to their pleated grey silk satin and bold lemon velvet laces. The model makes them look half-reasonable too, but sorry, am still not convinced. Are you? They're £90 from Coggles if you just so happen to be...

Steve Madden Hippster suede gladiator sandals

steve_madden_hippster_sandals.jpg

I'm still a-huntin' for the perfect hot weather festival shoe - I want it to be comfortable, go with all my outfits (no matter how fashion schizophrenic I end up being), be airy enough to keep my feet cool and look trendy all at the same time.

I think these Steve Madden Hippster sandals could very well fulfill all of the above criteria, with the chestnut brown suede being an extremely versatile colour and material (not to mention, be less likely to rub on your hot feet and give you blisters). Plus I love how the fringing detail gives them that little summer 2009 feeling (with fringing being big news and all). They're £70 from Shudoo.

Martin Margiela transparent wedge heel mules

margiela_transparent_wedge_heels.jpg

You'll be sure to have a few jaws dropping as you don these Margiela wedge heel mules and create an optical illusion of sorts with your half invisible shoe. The transparent acrylic wedge heel means your foot will look like it's floating (or that you're walking around on your tippy toes all day), when in reality - haha, fooled you - it's actually comfortably resting. Well, as comfy as any foot in heels can be, anyway.

I'm not usually one for the quirky shoes, but I can actually imagine myself wearing these - is it because of the pretty shades of pink and lilac? They've currently got 50% off their pricetag at Farfetch and are going for £209.
