Hmmm. I think this is definitely one of those shoes that would have to been in person before any proper judgement could be made about it. It's Prada's petal d'orsday , which has a folded suede detail on the vamp, making it look like your foot is encased in a flower. That seems to be the idea, anyway, but at $750 it's a pretty expensive flower!
I like the sculpted heel, but I'm not so sure about the vamp. If you are, and you like what you see, you can buy these from Neiman Marcus.

I take back what I said earlier this week about being bored with bows. If Nordstrom would only ship to the UK, these babies would be winging their way to me right now! They're Stuart Weitzman's 'Bouffant' shoe boots, and they come in grey flannel and plain black. I favour the grey version because there's more contrast between the shoe and the bow, but both are lovely, and would be the perfect addition to my winter wardrobe.
They're reduced to $199 in the Nordstrom sale.

We've been getting used to the sight of bows adorning the backs of shoes rather than the front recently, but these peep toes from Viva la Diva were still unusual enough for me to want to show you them.
I'm really enjoying the trend for floral print shoes right now: I tend to shy away from florals on clothing, but footwear is a different matter, and the curved sides and bright pink trim on these really appeals to me. They're £52, which isn't too outrageous, and at least you'll know they look just as good from the back as they do from the front.

For any woman who ever dreamed of being a ballerina when she was a little girl, these 'Pavlova' ballet flats from Joules should be just the thing. The ribbon ties give them a slightly whimsical feel, and they're shown on the website worn with a simple white sundress, which looks lovely. These are £49, and are also available in black, but I think the bright red definitely has the edge here, giving them a bit of dramatic flair.

Ribbon-tie shoes are something we've been seeing a lot of recently, and I think the ribbons on these ones from Dorothy Perkins add a nice, feminine touch to what would otherwise be a fairly simple shoe. Of course, the pink colour is also very feminine, but if it's just a little too feminine for your tastes, there's also a version available in cream, which may be slightly more versatile. These are £25.

Miss Selfridge describe this shoe as "nude". I'd say you'd have to have a slight greyish tinge to your skin for that to be the case, because it looks more like a dove grey to me, but that could just be my monitor. Colour quibbles aside, this is a nice, designer-inspired shoe (that peep toe looks a lot like YSL to me), which also comes in black and leopard. It's £45, and will be a good transitional shoe, too, as a pair of opaques underneath will let it take you through to autumn.

Even though these shoes are yellow the rope tie and patent leather finish are somehow nautical. Must be the visual reference to Sou'Westers!
The low cut vamp and rounded toe creates a very pleasing proportion and the bright yellow colour which is usually hard to wear will look great with summer dresses, jeans and nautical navy trousers. They're 109E from Pretty Ballerinas.
