A high-end Mary Jane for you this week, folks, and just in case there was any doubt about how high-end it is, Burberry have put their name on the metal plate on the front of it. Now, personally I hate logos on shoes and clothes, but luckily this one isn't too distracting, and I love everything else about this shoe, especially the wide band, which is placed low on the foot, making it look less girlish than some other styles of Mary Jane.
These are $395, and are also available in black, from Nordstrom

Yes, I know summer's technically "over" now, but hey, the summer hemisphere is just warming up, so here's a pair of pretty yellow sandals from Moschino to brighten up your weekends. These are also available in orange, and both colours are so citrusy and cheerful they'll add a welcome dash of colour even on a grey day. The cute little roses finish them off perfectly and will draw all eyes instantly to your feet - which is probably a good thing given that these cost $280.95, no?

I don't think I'm going out on too much of a limb here by suggesting that this bootie probably won't have a universal appeal. If you like your shoes colourful, quirky and unusual, though, then this could be the shoe for you. Using the peep toe bootie style that's so inescapable this winter, this adds a vibrant yellow colour and scalloped leather detail to the sides, making it one of the loudest pieces of footwear I've seen so far this season. This particular shade of yellow will look great with grey and black, though, and even with bright blues, if you're feeling adventurous - and let's face it, if you're going to be wearing these, you may as well be! These are $430 at Shopbop.

Wondering where the "t-bar" is on these? Well, you'll have to look closely to find it - it's just a tiny little thing down by the vamp. See it? Despite not being what you'd normally expect from the word "t-bar", I think this is a beautiful, classy shoe, which looks like it's just begging to be worn with a classic little black dress, Audrey Hepburn style. The black patent leather and elegant stiletto heel finish it of perfectly, and the tiny little t-bar is a nice detail. These are £139 from LK Bennett, which is at the higher end of "reasonable", but probably a good price given how much wear you'd get out of these.

Growing up as a dancer, I always loved the little trips to the Bloch store to stock up on pretty new ballet shoes, leotards and cardigans. Nothing's changed a couple of decades later, and I still love everything ballet-related (especially shoes... oh, and tulle!)
These two-tone ballet flats have the very Chanel-esque look, but being made by Bloch, are an authentic ballet slipper made out of streetwear materials (so there's a leather sole, yay to practicality). Couldn't ask for more really. The Bianco/Nero ones pictured here are on sale for $85 (down from $170), otherwise you can go for Yellow/White or Nero/Bianco for $51. From Shopbop.

Over the past few years, fashion has been gravitating away from pointy toed shoes and towards softer, almond shaped styles instead. I think these 'Gladys' pumps by Gianluca Soldi are more than enough to bring the pointy toe back, though: with their soft metallic uppers (also available in black and brown) and vintage style vamps, these are real show-stoppers, and the kind of shoes guaranteed to get noticed. They;re $345 from Te Casan.

Well, if you're going to do the whole "bow front shoe" thing, you may as well do it wholeheartedly, no? These red patent 'Ashly' shoes by RSVP wear their gigantic bows with pride, and that's the way you'd have to wear them too - they have a slightly cheeky, flamboyant feel to them, so if you're going to wear them you may as well get dressed up to the nines and flaunt those bows! Of course, if you'd like to tone things down just a little bit, these are also available in grey, black and brown. They're $79.
