Looking for a comfy boot that isn't an Ugg boot? We all know they're warm and perfect for cold winter nights, but they're everywhere and the real thing isn't cheap. So for something different, I'm loving these Cloud Nine boots from Rampage. Instead of being lined with wool with suede lining the outside, these boots are covered in sweater-like wool material with decorative buttons for effect. And if this colour don't tickle your fancy, you can also get them in brown, black or Kelly green.

There's nothing new about the idea of putting roses on shoes, but these ones by Tracey Reese still manage to look that little bit different. Rather than sticking to one rose, and placing it on the toe oft the shoes, the t-bar strap is just laden down with them, making these shoes a veritable rose garden for the feet. It's a look that some people will find difficult to pull off, especially those who don't generally go for the super-feminine look, but if flowers are very much your "thing", and you have an occasion special enough for them, these are £192.15 at Anthropologie.

Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, the design duo behind Vena Cava launched their first footwear collection for Viva Spiga in New York last week.
It is the first time that the designers have used their skills to create shoes, which were first spotted on the runway at New York Fashion Week. They were inspired by the 'Egyptomania' for their debut spring/summer '09 collection, which consists of lace up pumps, platform mules and strappy sandals. The range is expected to retail between $300 and $850 and will sell via the Viva Spiga website, and its new flagship store in New York's Soho district. [via Vogue.com]

If you're not a fan off chunky heels and chunky platforms because of their unflattering look on a wider foot, then these Bebe Rome leather sandals are for you. A sexy sandal, these shoes feature metallic trimmed platform detail and a cutaway heel. These shoes are a perfect example of how delicate detailing can make a pair of platforms seem less chunky and almost delicate. The bonus part is that these shoes will give you an extra 5.25" boost - perfect if you're vertically challenged.

Rag & Bone have joined the many designers taking the step forward to expand their repertoire by adding a footwear line.
The New York label will unveil three styles this spring - a tailored loafer, a slipper-like oxford, and brogue detailed ballet flats. Prices aren't exactly cheap, ranging from $330 to US$515, but they insist that they are good value.
"We focused on classic silhouettes and used all-natural materials and custom lasts and made sure all the shoes are flexible and breathable," said Tull Price, who is collaborating on the line. Visit the Rag & Bone website for updates. [via Style File]

Red patent Mary Janes by Jimmy Choo. To be perfectly honest, there's not really a whole lot to say about them, other than that they're beautiful, and as far as Mary Janes go, I think these are some of the nicest. Gotta love that red patent upper!
Of course, being Jimmy Choos, they're not cheap: they do, however, have 20% off at Bluefly, making them $492.
