Are you getting tired of seeing shoes covered in studs, yet? I really hope not, because this trend is far from over, and the latest example to catch my eye was these 'Masonic' sandals by Report, which have a thick ankle strap and high stiletto heel. Oh, and studs. Lots and lots of studs. I guess you probably didn't need me to point that out to you, did you?
To make this look work, I'd probably pair it with something simple and feminine, like a block-coloured dress. Throw a leather jacket over the top and these on your feet and you have a look that's up-to-date, and with a bit of an edge to it, too. These are $244.95.

I know it's only been a day since I last wrote about Roger Vivier shoes, but I'm going to ask you to indulge me again while I show you these plaid rose sandals. The website I found these on doesn't actually say how high these heels are, but I'm going to guess "really high". Probably too high to do anything other than sit around looking at your feet, anyway, but at least your feet would be well-dressed, no? Tartan, of course, is "big" this season, and if you're going to wear it, I'd suggest this is the way to do it - with a touch of total extravagance! Oh, and with a 1099 euro price tag...

Hunter Boots have become the fashionista's wellie-maker of choice - and those are words I never thought I'd type! Seriously, though, wellies are an absolute Godsend for those of us who don't live in the city, and whose day-to-day lives involve walking dogs, taking children to parks, or other activities in which a pair of Manolos just won't cut it. That doesn't mean we have to forsake fashion completely, though: I think these short floral wellies are pretty cute, to be honest, and the shorter length means they'll be easy to tuck your jeans into, too. In fact, they're almost too cute to get dirty, aren't they?

Wow, where have these shoes been all my life? Forgive the corny chat-up line, but sometimes a shoe comes along that makes you want to just sit back and admire it, and that's exactly what I'm going to do with these Roger Vivier slingbacks. If you'd like to wear them, as opposed to just looking at them, they're 790 euros and you can buy them here.

Clearly I have Christmas on the brain right now, but these shoes look a little bit like they've been partly fashioned from some scraps of leftover wrapping paper somehow. Even more strangely, I quite like them. They're by Sergio Rossi, and they're $539 at Zappos, who suggest they'll "put the 'special' into 'special occasion'". Which is one way of putting it, I guess. One thing's for certain: they're definitely different, and at a time of year when all of the glitzy party shoes can start to blend into one another, that has to be a good thing!

I know gladiator sandals were the look of the summer, but for some reason I find myself liking the style more now that it's winter, and now that the "gladiator" style is being applied to heels and wedges (you know, the kind of thing that actual gladiators would never have worn) than to flat sandals. These ones by Robert Clergerie have a demi-wedge heel and shiny metallic upper that will make them a refreshing change from all of the satin peep toes and strappy sandals at the Christmas party this year. They're $759 at Zappos Couture.

At first glance, I thought the strap on these Giuseppe Zanotti sandals were covered in tiny crystals, and I'm not sure whether to be dissapointed or relieved that they're not. In fact, it's snake embossed leather, which combines with the red and black on these to create a very striking shoe. I think I'd have preferred something other than snake-print, which isn't a personal favourite of mine, but given that these are out of my price range anyway, at $649, I don't think I can complain!
