Sneak Preview: Charlotte Olympia shoes

IMG_0168.JPG

I was lucky enough to go along to an press day by Exposure, (it's a hard job, buts someone has to do it) and chanced upon these beautiful shoes by up and coming designer, Charlotte Olympia.

I love these gold glitzy heels, which are perfect for Christmas parties, and kissing under the mistletoe - although with skyscraper heels like that, you might want to make sure you avoid all the thorns. The gold and the red complement each other perfectly and are sure to be a celeb favourite.

Shoewawa Preview: Salvatore Ferragamo matching shoes and bags

P1000035.jpg

Salvatore Ferragamo's Spring/Summer Collection draws inspiration from art, cinema, fashion and luxury. The bright colours pay tribute to the '50s, and we see here the use of patent and snakeskin effect mixed with dazzling colours. On display there are patent mango, orange, fuchsia and the designer also uses crocodile dyed an assortment of lurid tones.

Shoewawa sneak preview: Dr Marten's Spring/Summer Collection

IMG_0181.JPG

Now, Doc Marten's remind me more of rebellious youths than street savvy fashionistas, but even I'm impressed with how they've updated their colour palettes to fit in with the latest trends. You may recognize some of the following shoes, but I assure you some are still to be launched to the public, so you can enjoy this preview.

The neon shoes emulate the catwalk trend for all things nu-rave, and would look great with a vintage t-shirt, footless tights and a sullen expression. Accessorize with some neon loveliness as seen on our accessory site.

Nike launch their iD studio in Oxford Street!

IMG_0153.JPG

I love shoes, I do, but all too often I have complaints about the ones I buy. The heel may be perfect, but I don't like the colour of the lining, or the colour is great, if only it were a slightly different style. With the Nike iD studio this is no longer an issue as you can design a trainer of your choice to your exact specifications. There are 54 different styles, including 5 premium editions which are only available in the Nike iD lounge, where only 4 people can design at any one time, so you each get a personal consultation with a trained style consultant.

I went down to Niketown to test it out, before it opens on Friday. The first impression I got was that I was stepping into shoe heaven, surrounded by masses and masses of brightly coloured trainers, in all shapes and sizes and with different finishes and embellishments. I couldn't take my eyes off the brightly coloured wall displays, and was so excited I was going to make one of my very own! The challenge would be stopping at only one pair!

shoesearch.jpgWe've just added a swish new way of navigating shoes that we know you're going to love. You may recognise it if you're a big online shopper, as a few of our favourite shops already use the technology behind it. We're one up on them because our search crawls loads of top retailers to bring you loads of choice! If you're looking for a shoe in a particular shape, style or colour, the new Shoewawa visual search will be right up your alley. Click here to get started (or click the button in the left sidebar) and then just pick a shoe from the 'map' that appears when the page loads. This will centre it and bring up loads of similar styles. From here you can narrow down the search as much as you like to find your perfect footwear. Click a shoe to centre it, or roll over to get more information. From there, you can click the larger image or the 'go' button to shop or get more information.

Steve Madden shoes in the UK next month!

steee.bmp

Readers will know of my long love affair with the glorious shoes that are Steve Madden, and be so excited that they are heading to our shores. Two lovely animal print shoes will be sold in River Island come November, with the classic four inch heel, and cute peep toe to look forward to. The other Steve Madden shoes (of which I've some viewed today) are absolutely stunning and will be sold in the UK, though whether as an independent store or as a concession we don't know yet! A video of their new range will be with you soon, with me modelling some of their to die for three tone crossover satin peep toes-drool!
