It's brilliant to see British blogs getting the chance to show their worth, and do you know what's Absolutely Fantastically Brilliant? There's a fashion category! So if you think Shoewawa (or any of our other fashion blogs) deserves a nod, we'd be honoured to be nominated.

The sofa has been plumped, the champagne lambrini is chilling in the fridge, we've got Domino's pizza on speed dial and our posh frock pajamas are ready to be donned. That's right, the second most important awards show of the week (after ours) is almost here...
On Sunday night the stars will be hitting the red carpet for the 79th Annual Academy Awards, and we'll be live blogging the whole thing at Catwalk Queen as we watch it on Sky Movies (while sane people get some sleep). We can't promise witty chat about the nominated movies or an in-depth film buff guide to who'll win what...but who cares about all that anyway? On Oscars night it's all about the frocks, and as Shiny's resident Joan Rivers, I'll be doing my best to bring you news of the fabulous and the fugly as tinseltown's finest arrive at the Kodak Theatre.
