We've reached that time of the year when leg wear dilemmas abound. It's still too cold for bare legs, but it feels too Spring like for opaques, and sheer, nude tights don't always appeal. Jonathan Aston, though: as a solution: these sheer tights are nude in colour, but they manage to escape any charges of "mumsiness" (is that even a word?) with the addition of the butterflies, which are designed to look like they're "tattooed" onto your legs.
Personally, this isn't a look I'd go for, but if you've always wanted a tattoo, but have hesitated to get the real thing, they could be an easy compromise. They're £9.5 from Asos.

I have to say, Valentine's themed clothes and shoes have always puzzled me slightly. Do people really wake up on February 14th and think, "Oh, it's Valentine's Day, I better wear something with hearts on it?" I don't, although I don't shy away from things with hearts on them at any other time of the year - in fact, they're one of my favourite prints.
If you like them too, Valentine's Day or not, you may like to know that you can currently get 10% off Emilio Cavallini heart-seam tights at MyTights.com. The offer runs up until February 11th, and these will certainly make an interesting accessory for that pencil skirt or little black dress!

Add some quirky-saucy detail to any little black dress this party season with these feather crochet tights from Urban Outfitters. The quirky pattern contrasts against the models light skin in a rather interesting pattern, they would look amazing with an all black outfit, sleek accessories and cute pair of booties. Let the tights shine and make their own statement, sometimes a fabulous pair of tights is all you need.

I have to be honest: the thought of paying £110 for a pair of socks makes me turn a bit pale and start calling for my smelling salts, but if £110 socks were something I could see in my future, I think these ones by Miu Miu woudl be high on my "expensive socks I must buy" list. I mean, they're purple lurex: how can you not love that?
OK, so I guess the purple lurex probably won't be to everyone's taste, and the price tag definitely wont be, but if you can totally see yourself in these, you can buy them at Net-a-Porter.

Foot care is just as important as shoe care. While we may take our favourite shoes to the cobbler when the heel has worn down or spray satin sandals with water and stain protector, we sometimes forget about the part of the body that wears the shoe - our feet. Lately I have been obsessed with finding a pedicurist that does pedicures with paraffin wax. The treatment leaves my feet as soft as a baby's feet but unfortunately they're not cheap. So here's my alternative, Bliss softening socks. After exfoliating and moisturizing, slip into a pair of these babies for 15 minutes and you will find that their special softening polymer gel lining will envelope your dry feet and make them as good as new. For $48 a pair and with 50 treatments in one, they're 100 times cheaper than a pedicure.

Everywhere I look, Christmas-y fashion items are slipping into stores everywhere. Pretty soon you'll see those cheesy/cute Christmas earrings on sale at the supermarkets and rolls of wrapping paper everywhere you turn. So what better way to keep warm in the cool winter weather than with these Jonathan Aston dark grey snowflake tights. They're just like the pair you would have worn as a little girl, back when you thought lace trimmed socks pair with mary-jane shoes were the prettiest thing in the world. Only now you can rock it up with a pair of biker chic ankle booties and a mini skirt.

Black opaque tights tend to end up being the "go to" hosiery for many of us during the winter months, but when it comes to getting dressed up for the evening, they can look a little bit out of place. This is presumably why Pretty Polly have created these diamante seamed tights, which add a bit of sparkle to the back of the leg, making the humble opaque party-appropriate. I'm not sure how comfortable they'd be with the diamantes running under the foot like that, but you can find out by buying them for £8 at ASOS.
