Bed socks, what a novel idea. Though they're a must-have when the nights are cold and your feet are the coldest part of your body. I'm currently loving these knee high Peter Alexander candy stripe bed socks with two pom poms dangling off each cuff, there are even suede patches on the soles of the feet to stop them wearing and tearing easily. The socks are just so sweet and girlie that I'd be tempted to wear them with a cute mini around the house - I don't think I'm brave enough to rock them outdoors ;) They're currently available online at PeterAlexander.com.au (who ship all over the world) for AUD$39 (approx $35).

Before I go into detail about these Emilio Cavallini Cut-Out Contrast Socks I want to know - do you wear socks with your pumps? I've always been curious to know if anyone actually wears this trend outside of fashion shows, photo shoots and magazines. Now, if you do wear socks with pumps, would you wear these socks? They're obviously made for their impact factor, firstly with the cut out in the middle of the foot, as well as the white contrast trim. It's a bold bold choice for a bold bold girl. In case you're wondering, they will set you back £6 from ASOS - but would you even consider wearing them?

Not quite ready to venture into the world of animal print shoes? These leopard print socks from ASOS give you an easy out, allowing you to get in touch with your wilder side without risking any 'Bet Lynch' associations. Easy to wear with jeans, or you can get a little more daring and wear them with some high heeled sandals if you really want to make a statement, they're only £2 per pair.

I don't think anyone can have failed to notice that stars are seriously big news in fashion at the moment, but if you don't want to wear one of the many star print dresses that are currently filling the stores, there's no shortage of other star printed items.
These holds ups are by Emilio Cavallini and are on the bold side, so for every person who loves them there'll no doubt be another one covering their eyes in horror at the very sight of them. Still, they are lots of fun, so if you love stars, of have a secret desire to go to Hogwarts, you can find them for £10 at ASOS.

Here's a trend right off the Autumn/Winter catwalks... We've talked a lot recently about how sheer tights are making a comeback this year, and lots of designers have been using patterns in their Autumn/Winter shoes, with the Just Cavalli collection being one example of that.
These 'Dirk' tights by Transparenze use a floral pattern over a black, cream or nude background. While I quite like them in black, I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of patterns on nude tights, though, which can make the wearer look a little like the pattern has been tatooed directly onto their legs. If you like this look, though, you can buy these at TightsPlease for £10.95.

If anything has been enjoying a particularly fabulous resurgence in fashion over the past few years, it must be the humble stocking. First in neutral colours, then vintage-styled patterns, now in exotic prints, they're the finishing touch to some of the most inspiring looks both on the catwalk and off. Sock Dreams are one of my favourite places to purchase (or just drool over) gorgeous socks and tights, and these polkadot lovelies are the perfect pair for spring. They'll look great with shorter skirts / dresses if you want to show them off to full effect, or just as sweet with only the polkadots on display. Best of all, they're a tiddly $8 from Sock Dreams (whose UK shipping costs are quite reasonable; and FREE shipping for US addresses!)

Tights with sandals has long been denounced as one of the great fashion faux pas of our time, but the recent trend for sheer tights seems to be putting an end to that. These rather lovely strappy sandals, for instance, were worn with sheer tights on Missoni's catwalk this week at Milan Fashion Week, and Missoni haven't been the only designers recently to pair sheer tights and sandals in this way. The tights in question in these pictures are lacking the reinforced toe which I think makes the combination look bad, but I'm not sure how long I'd be able to wear them without sticking my toe right through the front - not a great look!
Would you/do you wear sheer tights with sandals, or is it still a "no-no"?
