I don't know why, but for some reason, the thought of having something between my toes freaks me out a little. Weirdly, that doesn't seem to apply to flip-flops, but the thought of wearing these Tippy Toe shoes by Irregular Choice, which split the toes in two, well, it just doesn't bear thinking about.
With that said, I somehow don't think I'd really want to wear these even if they had a more "normal" toe, because I have visions of that sticky-up fan detail brushing against my ankles with every step and driving me mad. So that would be a thumbs down for me. If these get a thumbs up from you, however, they're £74.99 and available from Schuh.

These Faith shoes attracted me to them for all the wrong reasons - they're furry, they're brown and they're kind of not very pretty. However, my icy cold feet are saying otherwise and I have to admit I can see their point...
Looking warm, snuggly and oh-so-festive, I'm still not sure I could actually put their point into action and wear them. But if your feet manage to get the better of you and somehow talk you into it, they can be found at ASOS for £78.30.

I'm thinking some of you might just like these boots. If you do, they're by Dereon, and you can buy a pair from Zappos, where they're $109.
As for myself, well, I think the word "weird" is the one that comes most readily to mind when I look at these. They're called 'Swinger Snake' and while that's pleather, rather than actual snakeskin, I think they're very well named, because they certainly bring to mind snakes in a way that most snake-print shoes just don't. They're slightly creepy, in other words, and that's without even taking into account the strange, super-pointy shape. Ah well, takes all kinds, I guess...

Oh, Irregular Choice! I do love them, but sometimes they just make it way too easy for me to make one of their offerings our Ugly Shoe of the Week!
This week the shoe in question is actually a boot. (Yes, I know it looks like a slipper with a heel, but trust me, it's not). These 'Vixen's Vices' boots are made of jersey fabric and have a robot print all over them, which is... interesting. If you disagree, and want to buy a pair, they're £69.50, from the Irregular Choice website.

If I had a magic wand which I could use to banish one footwear trend from the earth, and assuming that someone else had already dealt with the Crocs situation, I think I would use my new powers to get rid of the appalling "boot that looks like a shoe" trend. No matter how many times I see this done, it never looks any better to me. Take these 'Como' boots, by J Shoes, for instance, which have been made to look like an ankle boot has been forced inside a court shoe. "Why?" is all I can think when I look at this. "Why would anyone do such a thing - and ruin what would've been a perfectly acceptable ankle boot into the bargain?"
Of course, one thing I've learned from writing for Shoewawa is that one woman's ugly shoe is another woman's glass slipper, so to speak, so if this style does it for you, these are £90 at Viva la Diva.

I know we've already had an Ugly Shoe of the Week, but when I found out that Crocs had started making winter boots, I just had to show you them! These are the Crocs 'Nadia' and are basically an unholy alliance between Crocs and Uggs. I think that pretty much says it all, don't you?
They're available in a range of different colours and cost $59.99 direct from Crocs. I think at this stage all we can do is pray they don't become as ubiquitous as either Crocs or Uggs themselves - I don't think my eyes could stand it!

No, this isn't a pair of prosthetic legs. They just look like they are. Is that what you want from your boots? Didn't think so. I rest my case.
If you beg to differ, they're by Stefano Branchini, and you can buy them at Yoox.com, where they're £105.
