Vintage red and white brogue flats

red white brogue flat vitnage upside dive.jpgMore interesting than a ballet flat and more versatile than a brogue these red and white shoes have it all. They will be a cute and comfy constant companion over the summer, bringing a subtle dose of masculinity to floaty dresses and skirts and pepping up jeans.

They're $30 from Upside Dive and will stand out from the slew of high street brogues about at the moement. I just wish my feet were a size smaller!

Peppermint Vintage burgundy riding boots

burgundy boots peppermint vintage riding.jpgI was first drawn to the oxblood colour of these boots, it's really rich and makes a nice change from tan or brown leather but is less boring than black. Another great thing is they're Bally which means quality leather, good fit and endless durability. Yes it might be a bit late in the season for leather boots but at $24 who's gonna complain?

Snap up this great bargain from Peppermint Vintage.

Yellow slingbacks from Black Raven Vintage

yellow mod shoes.jpgWhat a beautiful egg yolk colour these slingbacks have! My mind is already thinking of all the possible dress/tight colour combinations that you could go for: dusky blues, purples and sheer blacks would look great with these slingbacks.

I love the oversized bow which adds to the dolly-effect. They're $32 from Black Raven Vintage and come in a US size 6.

Vintage woven flats from Pork Chop Girl

vintage brown woven flat shoe.JPGWoven leather still straddles the gross/cool divide quite well, there's something a little mumsy about the little intertwined strips of leather but I would nonetheless be quite happy to include these shoes in my summer wardrobe.

They would add a bit of LA hippy chic to jeans and floral frocks without being too formal or dressed up and the small wedge heel is perfect for everyday wear. If they tickle your fancy snap them up for a super cheap $20 from Pork Chop Girl Vintage.

French Sole flats from V for Vintage

french sole ballet flat suede.jpgFrench Sole arguably make the best ballet flats around: this pair from V for Vintage are just $68 and ooze Audrey Hepburn chic.
They're made from suede and have all the great detailing of a quality pump including rubber tipped heels and drawstring. Team them with cropped black trousers and a loose boat neck jumper for a Gallic chic look. If you really want to get the look watch Jean Seberg in Breathless, she has beatnik chic down pat!

Penny Loves Kenny Patent Tip Jazz Shoe

urbano-pennyloveskenny.jpg

When you think jazz shoes, you probably think pretty t-bar heels you can dance in right? Well here's a different kind of jazz shoe for you. Made by Penny Loves Kenny (I just adore the cute brand name), these lace up leather Jazz shoes will set you back just £30 and could have you dancing all night due to their lack of a high heel and rubber sole. Available in a a handful of contrasting colours, my favourite are definitely the silver pair with a black toe tip. I think they'd look great if you wanted to channel Charlie Chapman in them too, just BYO top hat and suit.

Peppermint Vintage yellow wedge sandal

yellow vintage sandal wedge.jpgVintage wedge sandals are one of my classic favourite shoe styles, they are a gratifying combination of geek and girly and the small wedge means they're perfect for everyday wear. Peppermint Vintage's pair come in a gorgeous sunny yellow and are only $19. Team them with high-waisted shorts, vest top and a neck scarf tied in a bow for a cute and sassy summer look.
