Peppermint Vintage multicoloured heels

colourfulshoevintage.jpgThese vintage heels are wondrously colourful, I love the circles dotted around the seam and the low heel means they're suitable for everyday wear. As if the colourful outer wasn't enough the shoes are lined with gold leather, a lil' luxurious touch I can totally appreciate. They'll set you back an impressively cheap $11 from Peppermint Vintage.

Vintage brocade slippers

beautifulslipperss.jpgThese slippers are so wrong but I love them. There comes a time in your life when you want to wear a leopardprint satin dressing gown and eat chocolate truffles and those slippers will be there. They're by Daniel Green and are made from multicoloured brocade. They also have a great bow and a luxurious quilted interior. They're genuine unworn vintage and will set you back $37.

Metallic brogues from Etsy

broguesmetallicswow.jpgEvery so often a pair of shoes will come along that blows my tiny mind and these are them. Pewter gold and bronze in a flat brogue lace up they're a little piece of heaven. I think they would look great with a short black dress and opaques for a no-effort fun party outfit. My only gripe is the price, at $52 plus $21 for postage over here to Blighty they're way out of my price range.

Ballyhoo Vintage mary jane shoes

ballyhoovintageshoemj.jpgChannel some librarian chic with these vintage mary jane shoes, I love the curvy retro shape and the cutout heel and toe detail. They'll set you back $95 at Ballyhoo Vintage, one of my favourite sites for vintage finds. For an up-to-the-minute look team them with a puffball miniskirt and a v-neck jumper. The short skirt will update the shoes and the simple v-neck will stop the outfit from looking too costumey.

Topshop vintage-style red bow heels

redbowshoetopshopheel.jpgTopshop's side bow shoes (£50) look wonderfully vintage, I can hardly believe they're new. The colour and piped bow remind me of the kind of shoes worn in Agatha Christie mysteries. They would look great with a pencil skirt for a retro outfit or show the red colour off with some skinny jeans and a pussy bow blouse. The perfect relaxed look for a hot date!

Vintage colourblocked shoes

colourblocketsyshoe.jpgThese three-stripe shoes are just crying out to be teamed with a pair of grey opaques and a leather skirt for an '80s-tastic look. I love the combo of black, grey and burgundy: it's eye catching and the court heel adds to the '80s feel. They're Spanish-made which means quality. Snap up these shoes on Etsy for the bargain price of $25.

Peppermint Vintage turquoise sandals

turqpepsandals.jpgSandals aren't just for summer anymore, all you need is a thick pair of woolly tights or some bright opaques and you can carry on wearing your open toed shoes well into the winter. So if you've got a fab pair of shoes like these in your wardrobe bring 'em out and you'll be wearing a little piece of summer all winter long. Peppermint Vintage's sandals are a US size 7 (UK size 5) and are a wallet pleasing $14 so if you have the winter blues snap these up to add a cheery dose of colour to your wardrobe.
A word of caution, trim your toenails before you proceed, a big toe poking out of holey tights is not a good look!
