When you live in the UK, "summer" is just as likely to mean days and days of rain as it is to mean lots of hot sunshine, and that can be bad news for all those cute shoes you've been buying. (And for your poor feet, of course). Does the rain bother you enough to make you want to wear these wedge 'Scarfun' boots by Alexandre Herchcovitch, though? They're certainly a less clumsy shape than most Wellington boots, and in the brown and black colours they're also available in, they wouldn't even look too obtrusive peeping out from underneath your trousers. They've just been reduced to $89, but is this the kind of thing you'd be willing to wear, or will you just be sticking to the occasional wet pair of feet?

Sadly for those of us who live in a damp climate, the season of flip flops can also be the season of wellies - and that's particularly true if you're going to be attending a summer festival or, indeed, doing anything else that may involve lots of mud. In recent years, the manufacturers of Wellington boots have cottoned onto this fact, and have been providing us with lots of lovely wellies, most of them involving some kind of floral pattern or bright colour.
These ones are different. These skull print wellies from ASOS are the bad-ass cousin of all the floral print numbers and will help to give your festival outfit a bit of bite. I wear my wellies when I'm doing the garden - a chore I hate so much that I'm thinking these could well be the most appropriate footwear for the task. They're £18.

Are you planning on hitting some summer festivals but don't want to wear plain black wellies? Well these cute floral print rain boots could be something to set you apart from the other festival go-ers. On sale at ASOS for only £8 these calf length boots will keep your toes dry and help keep you on your feet with gripped rubber soles. Not a bad pick up if you want something to buy and throw out once you've had some fun in them.

No, they're not exactly glamorous, but if you're planning on heading to any of the UK music festivals this summer, "glamour" will probably have to make way for "practical", given that you'll be wallowing in mud much of the time. That's unless you're Kate Moss, of course: Kate always manages to look glamorous at Glastonbury, usually while wearing a pair of denim shorts and her trusty Hunter wellies, and now you can too, thanks to ASOS, who are selling the Wellingtons for £55 per pair. Whether you choose to wear them with denim hotpants is, of course, up to you!

How great are these Swims ballerina galoshes? Sometimes you just don't want to stomp around in knee-high wellington boots in order to walk the dog or stroll down to the corner store for the paper on those rainy days. So these waterproof pumps - which slip on over your own shoes - will keep your footwear (and feet) dry and warm. And upping the charm factor, they also have a leafy print rubber sole enabling you to leave behind your footprint - but at least it'll be one fitting in with nature.
They're €93.75 and you can purchase them from Swimsstore.com.

Well, who would have thought! We know that fruit has been appearing on clothing and accessories for some time now, but it seems that Hunter are keen to lead a veggie trend instead! Embellished with radishes, peas and what looks to be a lettuce, they’re apparently reproduced from a vintage Royal Horticultural Society print. More a pair for serious gardeners than fruit-and-fashion-friendly feet, they’re best worn with a shovel, pitchfork and a garden plot waiting to be planted! If you'd like to get down and dirty this weekend (in your garden, and in an entirely eco-friendly way, of course!), they’re just $60 from Hunter.
