Planning a summer of festival-going? Hunter wellies now available at ASOS!

hunter_wellies.jpgNo, they're not exactly glamorous, but if you're planning on heading to any of the UK music festivals this summer, "glamour" will probably have to make way for "practical", given that you'll be wallowing in mud much of the time. That's unless you're Kate Moss, of course: Kate always manages to look glamorous at Glastonbury, usually while wearing a pair of denim shorts and her trusty Hunter wellies, and now you can too, thanks to ASOS, who are selling the Wellingtons for £55 per pair. Whether you choose to wear them with denim hotpants is, of course, up to you!

Swims ballerina overshoe - stamp your mark on the earth

swims.jpg

How great are these Swims ballerina galoshes? Sometimes you just don't want to stomp around in knee-high wellington boots in order to walk the dog or stroll down to the corner store for the paper on those rainy days. So these waterproof pumps - which slip on over your own shoes - will keep your footwear (and feet) dry and warm. And upping the charm factor, they also have a leafy print rubber sole enabling you to leave behind your footprint - but at least it'll be one fitting in with nature.
They're €93.75 and you can purchase them from Swimsstore.com.

Vegetables for your feet? Hunter's wellies say yes!

rhs-hunter-wellies.jpgWell, who would have thought! We know that fruit has been appearing on clothing and accessories for some time now, but it seems that Hunter are keen to lead a veggie trend instead! Embellished with radishes, peas and what looks to be a lettuce, they’re apparently reproduced from a vintage Royal Horticultural Society print. More a pair for serious gardeners than fruit-and-fashion-friendly feet, they’re best worn with a shovel, pitchfork and a garden plot waiting to be planted! If you'd like to get down and dirty this weekend (in your garden, and in an entirely eco-friendly way, of course!), they’re just $60 from Hunter.

Bloomingdales put their Big Brown Bags on Wellington boots

bbbwellies.jpgBloomingdales' Big Brown Bags have reached almost iconic status - so much so that the company has now put the bags on its rain boots! They're selling these bag-decorated wellies for $60, and they come with a buckle at the calf to adjust the width. Now, I know lots of us love to walk out of Bloomingdales clutching a Big Brown Bag stuffed with goodies, but I guess the question is, do you love it enough to want to wear the bags on your legs and feet?

Wellie Babies - the Dicto ankle boot from Vagabond

welliebabies.jpg

The current wet weather may not be doing much for our spirits, but it is giving the imaginations of Wellington boot designers a workout, that's for sure. Never have we seen so many different styles of rain boot, with the latest offering being these rubber ankle boots by Vagabond. They're £34.99, and offer all the rain proofing of regular wellies, but without the height, which I guess will make them handy for city dwellers who want to keep their feet dry without wearing brightly coloured knee-highs.

These are still brightly coloured, of course, but they're also available in black, and you can find them at www.vagabond.com.
