It's been some time since a pair of shoes had our readers split down the middle, but that's exactly what last week's Yay or Nay did. While half of you loved the cut-out brogues (I particularly liked the description "Saville-Row-serious without the stuffiness" from StyleScrybe!), while the rest thought they were more trouble than trendy. For those of you who'd like a pair, they're by Solea, and are available from ASOS for £120.
This week, we're testing out one of Shoewawa's favourite styles: the Mary Jane! Of course, this design is a little different; taking a tricky turn on the button trend by placing it on the toe! But what do you think? Does it enhance a firm favourite or have they just been playing silly buggers? Yay or Nay and why?

We can't fool our Miu Miu loving readers, it seems. Despite comparisons to Daleks, fetishists and bugs, the Yays still won by a mile in last week's Yay or Nay offering! If you have a hankering for a pair of red patent peep-toes with jewel-embellished heels, you can pick up a pair for £315 from Net-A-Porter.
This week's offering is yet another brogue of the cut-out variety - a design that has proved controversial with our Shoewawa writers thus far! But what do you think of this style? Is it brilliant brogue or creepy cut-out? Yay or Nay and why?

Poor ol’ Michael Kors wasn’t too popular with our readers who unanimously voted 'Nay' to his chunky ‘Waxy’ wedge-heeled peep-toes in last week’s Yay or Nay. Sadly, it appears that the design might have won out, were it not for the addition of a poorly placed ankle strap! If you’re a fan of cankles - or simply think that with heels that high, your ankles could do with a seatbelt - the shoes are £179 from Net-A-Porter.
Frills and spills aren’t the only thing on designers’ minds lately, though; suddenly it’s the humble heel’s turn in the spotlight! Previously considered as being simply the part of the shoe that stopped you falling off your footwear, it’s now become the new ‘it’ fashion accessory for your feet! So, what of this designer offering, with its heavily jewelled heel? Is it devastating derriere or foolish fancy? Yay or Nay and why?

If last week's Yay or Nay offering has anything to say about it, it appears that shoes and dirty clothing (or rather, just-washed clothing) really shouldn't mix! Camper's washing-line design 'Twins', in their square-toed flat style, were voted wishy-washy by a landslide. Still, if you're not swayed by the vote, you can pick them up from La Redoute.
Wedges are generally acknowledged as the perfect style to add height without putting too much strain on your feet; but what of this week’s offering? Certainly taking the style to new heights, with their silver-tinged heel: are they footloose and fancy free or nose-bleed nauseating? Yay or Nay and why?

Now, I see where Bertie were going here. The raised wooden sole is typical of the style of shoes worn in Japan, and Bertie clearly thought they would add that design element to a pair of pumps, thus giving a pair of ballet pumps, like the Gyoza, some eastern charm. Unfortunately what looked great in their head hasn't exactly worked out in the final production in my opinion. Sure the colour is lush, the ankle tie cute and the diamante topped bow in the front is a pretty addition, but all of that would have been fine without the added wooden block, which looks odd up against it all and creates a heavy looking shoe. Available at The Shoe Studio for £70, what do you think?

It's been a wee while since the Yays won by more than a nose, but happily last week's offering managed to win quite a few hearts! If bold geometric prints, buckle details and sky-high stilettos are your thing, you can pick up 'Kameron' (terribly modern) for $149AU from Nine West.
This week's offering is, at first glance, fairly innocous; but look closely at the detail on the toe and you will find... a washing line, complete with miniature clothing! What do you think of this unusual embellishment? Is it clothes line chic or wishy washy? Yay or Nay and why?

It's strange! I know those are socks and I know those are sandals and I also know that the two are never supposed to go together but slap my thigh if they don't look perfectly suited...go figure! This could largely be in part to them being part of Lou Doillon's collection at La Redoute. Don't know who Lou Doillon is? Well let me put it this way, her mother is Jane Birkin and her father is Jacques Doillon which, along with her cooler than Kate Moss style, possibly makes her one of the chicest people on the planet. Anywho, back to the sandals. I love them and the addition of the thick grey socks for the picture only seems to add to their rustic French charm. Could I get away with wearing them? Who knows, but at £65 for these La Redoute Creation Leather Sandals, I'm just about ready to take that risk!
